Benefits of Personal Protective Equipment for Health Care Workers and Patients

1. Gloves

A glove is a garment covering the whole hand. Gloves have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb; if there is an opening but no covering sheath for each finger they are called "fingerless gloves". Gloves protect and comfort hands against cold or heat, damage by friction, abrasion or chemicals, and disease; or in turn to provide a guard for what a bare hand should not touch.

Goggles or safety glasses are forms of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the area surrounding the eye in order to prevent particulates, water or chemicals from striking the eyes.

Prevent mucosal health workers, contact with patients blood or body fluids.












4. Hat

For Patients:

Prevents microorganisms from falling hair / head health workers to the sterile area.









5. Plastic Apron

For Patients:

To prevent contact of microorganisms from body / clothing of health workers to patients.

For Health Workers :

To prevent skin health workers, contact with blood or body fluids.








6. Protective boots

For Patients:

To reduce the transport of microorganisms from another room.

For Health Workers :

To prevent foot injured by a contaminated sharp objects or heavy objects wedged and prevent contact with blood or other body fluids.
