The Intel Atom N2600 and N2800, Promising Battery Durability for 10 Hours On Netbooks

After several rumors and hints about it, as well as benchmark results, Intel has now officially announced that the newest Atom processor Cedar Trail is available, with the first system that will use them will be released early next year. Two types of chips are N2600 and N2800, both dual core, and is designed for use in netbooks, Intel promised battery life of up to 10 hours and standby for a week, as well as support for 1080p video playback.

Today has also been disclosed D2500 and D2700, designed for desktop PCs and entry-level All-in One PC, as well as various other commercial systems. The details of the two processors are still small, but Intel stated this processor will be used by Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung and Toshiba. This platform supports Windows, MeeGo and Tizen.
